For an open living-and-dining space, describe the layout and approximate size instead of deciding that it must count as one standard room. Great rooms and unusually sized spaces need scope confirmation. More than 2,000 square feet of cleanable carpet needs a custom estimate.

Mention an upstairs work area, the number of carpeted staircases and any parking restriction. Confirm the equipment route and furniture responsibilities before the visit.
